About DF Home Designs
DF Home Designs was founded with a passion for thoughtful design and a commitment to helping homeowners bring their ideas to life. Based in the Hudson Valley, we provide residential design services for a variety of projects, including custom homes, renovations, additions, garages, pool houses, decks, and other residential improvements.
Our approach combines creativity with practical problem-solving to develop spaces that reflect each client's vision, lifestyle, and needs. We believe good design goes beyond appearance; it should also consider functionality, the character of the existing property, and the details that make a project successful.
Whether you're planning a small improvement or a larger renovation, DF Home Designs offers a personalized, collaborative experience from the initial concept through the development of detailed construction drawings.
Meet the Designer Behind DF Home Designs
DF Home Designs was founded by Darren Farrell, a Hudson Valley-based residential designer with professional experience in custom homes and small commercial projects. Through his experience working in the design industry and managing projects from concept through completion, Darren has developed an appreciation for the balance between creative vision, technical detail, and practical construction.
Darren's approach centers on listening to clients, understanding their goals, and developing design solutions that work for both the homeowner and the property. He values clear communication, attention to detail, and building strong relationships throughout the design process.
As the founder of a small, independent design business, Darren provides a more personal approach to residential design, working directly with clients to help turn their ideas into well-considered plans.
At DF Home Designs, every project is an opportunity to create something functional, distinctive, and tailored to the people who will use it.
